Birth Cultures in the Kick-Off Meeting of the Creative Europe Culture Programme 2019

The Kick-off Meeting of the Creative Europe - Culture Program , organized by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency ( EACEA ) of the European Commission , took place on 21 and 22 October in Brussels, bringing together the nearly 200 coordinators of projects, platforms and networks funded under said Program.

During the inaugural meeting, workshops were held on the management and funding of projects under the Creative - Culture Europe Program, and on other crucial issues of the Program such as audience development, intercultural dialogue, and social integration of refugees. Interarts, coordinator of the Birth Cultures project, presented some of its projects to reinforce the public value of culture and the strong transversal importance of its role as the fourth pillar of sustainable human development.

The program will co-finance the project "" Birth Cultures: A Journey through European History and Traditions around Birth and Maternity ", which will take place from 1 November 2019 to 30 April 2022. The project will include the participatory co-creation of a traveling exhibition that will be displayed in different museums throughout Europe, such as the Women's Museums in Hittisau (Austria) and Merano (Italy), the Gender Museum in Kharkiv (Ukraine) and the Women's Culture Center Francesca Bonnemaison in Barcelona (Spain) .
